I consider it a huge honor to photograph new babies. I know that outside of close family and hospital staff, many times I am the first person to hold your baby and I don't take that lightly. I know parents have been waiting for them for at least 9 months, but sometimes I don't realize just how long or what struggles parents went through to get to this moment. Hearing their stories are such a great reminder just that each baby is loved so deeply.
Here is a little of Miss Caroline's story:
Elizabeth and Michael were told by 2 Doctors that her eggs were older and they would have a difficult time conceiving on their own.
They had 3 failed IVFs.
However, in July 2016 they conceived on their own. To surprise their family with the news they had a get together to discuss a potential "investment". They revealed an enlarged pictures of their first ultrasound as the "investment".
During Elizabeth's pregnancy she developed preeclampsia and had to be induced. She ended up having to have a c-section. A healthy baby girl was born on March 30, Miss Caroline Leah. Elizabeth say her favorite memory from the delivery day was when the anesthesiologist pulled back the sterile drape during the c-section so she could see Caroline being delivered!
